It’s been quite a while since I blogged and shared my perspective on tennis matches, tournaments and other related events. For that, I sincerely apologize. I do have a good reason… at least I hope it is.
You see, I was in the middle of a pretty big relocation plan. You think it’s tough moving between states? Try moving between between continents. So for most of you who do not know, I am in Canada now. The land of the free and the nice. I say that with all honesty. It’s been an absolutely beautiful experience coming here. Canadians are some of the most pleasant people you would ever hope to meet. I really hope the experience stays that way… generally.
As you would imagine, moving with family presented its own fair share of challenges. Luckily, I’ve got an amazing partner and she’s made the process so much more fun than it would have been under normal circumstances. Living out of a hotel, we’ve had fun apartment hunting, getting new phones (and phone plans), opening up bank accounts, job hunting, making new friends and… phew! It’s been a lot.
On the bright side, I’m in Canada now. Do you know what that means? Do you? You don’t? Oh I’m sure you do. It means I can cover at least one masters tournament from a much more intimate perspective than TV, and YouTube highlights. So yes I am very excited about this year’s Rogers Cup. Hopefully, I’ll be able go for a few matches and see some of my favorite players, live for the very first time – looking at you, Roger Federer. Nevertheless, I feel settled enough to get back into blogging and hopefully coming up with interesting content and analysis for you to read. As usual, I will try to be as objective as possible. Please do excuse a little Federer fan service from time to time.
See you guys soon!
